I worked on the technical rehearsals for the Dominion Theatre’s production of ‘An American in Paris’. I was able to observe the dress rehearsals, and played an active role during fittings.

Angels the Costumiers – Work Experience                                                                                       May 2016 – June 2016

​

I completed a Work Experience program at Angels the Costumiers between May and June 2016. I familiarised myself with their stock of around 1 million costumes. I also had the opportunity to shadow the Costumiers as they pulled costumes for clients in Film, Television and Theatre.

 

‘Norma’ - English National Opera                                                                                                                   February 2016

 

I worked in the Costume Department of the English National Opera (ENO) under the supervision of the Costume Designer, Sue Wilmington. I completed alterations, sorted the rails of costumes, and documented and found any clothing that was missing. Interacting with the actors was an important part of my time at ENO and gave me confidence in communication with people and handling challenging behaviours.

 

Costume Designer - ‘Ghost: The Musical’                                                                       December 2015 – February 2016

 

I was the Costume Designer, Supervisor and Dresser for York Stage Musical’s production of ‘Ghost: The Musical’ at York’s Grand Opera House between December 2015 and February 2016.

Winner of 1st Place: Celebration of Young Designers Award                                                                       October 2012

 

In 2012, I was awarded 1st place in my age category in the national FDC Awards competition, which celebrated young British Designers, for the design and construction of a dress inspired by Claude Monet. The final competition was held in London in October 2012.
