Dior Autumn/Winter 1964 Demi Couture Unlabelled
Combining simplicity with luxury, this dress and matching beaded jacket is the perfect symbol of Marc Bohan's tenure as creative director for Christian Dior. Created for his Autumn/Winter 1964 haute couture collection, the design features a simple bateau-neckline dress with low back, beaded strap and front pockets. Accompanying it is a beautiful jacket, accented with a densley beaded tabard and buttons.
This example is unlabeled and probably a Patron Original. Whilst impecabbly made with many hand finishings, it does feature some unfinished seams underneath the skirt lining - suggesting it is most likely demi-couture made for a client in the United States.

Condition:
Very Good.
The beadwork on the jacket is still completely in tact, and has not lost any of its brilliance. There is a very small hole in the lining measuring 0.5cm. Both the jacket and dress have original detachable sweat guards under the arm, which show very minor wear but can be removed and replaced.
The dress has faint staining on various parts of the lining due to wear (see photos), but none of them have affected the exterior.
