Frank Usher Spring/Summer 1978 Givenchy Copy
This beautiful coral maxi dress by Frank Usher is the epitome of 70s chic! Founded in 1946, Frank Usher was a London-based brand whose aim was to bring high fashion and design to the general public. Known for both their own original designs, and creations heavily inspired by (or sometimes line-for-line copies of) Parisian haute couture, the brand was hugely successful and was made available from Harrods in London to Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.
This particular dress is one that was heavily inspired by Givenchy's Spring/Summer 1978 haute couture collection, which featured an almost identical dress in the shame shade, with the same art-deco beaded halter neck. This gorgeous dress is made from coral Terylene, which still feels incredibly soft and comfortable. As a dress that can be worn belted or loose, it's an incredibly versatile and timeless piece!
NOTE: as the original belt was lost over time, the belt featured here is a recreation we whipped up for the photoshoot. The replica belt can be included with the dress should you wish!

Condition
Very Good.
This dress is still in beautiful wearable condition. The fabric is still incredibly supple, with a beautiful weight to it. The seams, beadwork and fabric are all completely intact with no losses to note. There are small areas of soiling around the hem of the dress (see photos) which are as a result of wear, and could potentially be removed by a professional dry cleaner. However with so much fabric in the skirt itself they are only really noticeable upon closer inspection.
